Khlong Sam Wa was formerly part of Min Buri until it was split out on 21 November 1997. It was once the center of academic disciple of Thai students when it was still a rural and farming community. Nowadays, this agricultural area is being taken over by land developers/housing projects therefore making it more expensive to settle here. Local Thais know this area as home of Safari World. As it is outside of central Bangkok, it is accessible by buses and taxis.
