and in vivo studies have been performed to determine
the effect of ruminal BH on the pattern of FA leaving
the rumen to be absorbed in the small intestine and
ultimately transferred into milk fat. According to these
reports, several factors may influence the extent and
dynamics of BH such as (i) source and initial FA
pattern of dietary lipids as well as the form of
supplemented lipids (free oils or full-fat oilseeds)
