In Beijing and Shandong province of China, fungal samples
found on woody surfaces were collected. Each sample was carved
out with a knife from natural flora such as tree bark, branches, and
straw surfaces and placed into individual sterile plastic bags to be
brought back to the lab for further preparation.
From Beijing city,
Bai Wang Mountain and Xiang Mountain provided 6 and 18
samples, respectively.
From Beijing’s Fangshan District, 5 samples
were collected.
In Laixi, Shandong Province, 22 samples were taken
from corn residue and 6 from soil under stack of corn straw. A total
of 57 different samples were collected during the isolate collection
phase of the research.
