The new technique was applied using three samples of synthetic
urine and four human urine, all of which were spiked with furosemide.
The results obtained by the proposed method were compared
statistically (using t-tests at a 95% confidence level) with those
obtained using the comparative method [20], and showed good
agreement (Table 3). The calculated t values did not exceed the critical
values, indicating that there was no significant difference between
the two methods in terms of precision and accuracy.
