Using nationally representative data, we assessed the socioeconomic determinants of type 2 diabetes in the Korean population. Our results show a pattern of higher
prevalence towards the lowest household income after adjustment for various socio-demographic factors, suggesting that income is a major determinant of type 2 diabetes among Korean adults.
