- All IRATA personal are trained, to certain level in a rescue situations at on site. The IRATA level 3 lead trainer is in ultimate control of the emergency rope access rescue situation until such time as he deems it suitable for outside agencies to become involved in the operation. The IRATA level 3 trainer shall hold a valid first aid certificate.
- A rescue plan must be outlined during the overall job planning & hazard analysis phase before the training session begins.
- Designate a rescue respond leader & alternate, identify resources, capabilities & response time of emergency operation needed (Hauling, Lowering, guideline, etc.) Number of people needed to perform a potential rescue, special equipment & anchors need for rescue operations.
