PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR OBJECTIVES:
• Planning, development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures that are compliant with legal requirements and accreditation standards that endeavor to create a resilient workforce.
• Consult with managers regarding the legalities and protocols for personnel actions to ensure consistent and equitable HR actions.
• Oversee the management of human resources information system.
• Supervise and coordinate all employee benefit administration.
• Track and compare data on turnover, unemployment and worker’s compensation and provide guidance to the agency on ways to improve these indicators of agency health.
• Represent the agency in unemployment and worker’s compensation hearings.
• Act as liaison to Personnel Committee of the Board of Directors.
• Conduct annual Employee Satisfaction survey and ensure effective action plans to support a resilient workforce.
• Create a philosophy that inspires a culture where human resources staff of Board of Child Care are valued, inspired, encouraged and engaged in achieving the mission of the agency.
• Fairly and consistently process employee grievances and their resolution.
• Provide a summary of exit interviews and recommendations to improvement work environment.
• Provide effective leadership and management to the human resource team.
• Provide effective leadership to the Employee Development & Training department.
• Oversight of recruitment for the entire agency.
• Other duties as required to achieve agency goals.
