In the Bible there is only one God, and He knows everything, sees everything, is everywhere, is all-powerful and created all things, though He Himself has no beginning. In Greek myth the gods are limited in knowledge, power and the ability to see things or be everywhere; neither are they the creators of all things. They themselves are the offspring of other beings sometimes less and sometimes more powerful than they are, whom they are constantly overthrowing or plotting against them in order to overthrow them. Even Zeus himself, after he had become the supreme being, lived in constant fear of usurpation.
