The regression result showed a significant fit with F-value of 26.922 and adjusted R2 of 0.306 at 0.05 confidence level. All the regression coefficients are significant using the t-test as shown below the regression equation in equation (2) below. The implication of this is that both leadership attitude and workers attitude collectively determine organisational effectiveness significantly. The explanatory variables explain 29.5% of the total variations in the value of the independent variable – organisational effectiveness. In terms of the research objectives, leadership attitude showed a significant positive effect on organisational effectiveness, while the workers attitude, though significant in its effect, showed a negative sign which is curious. This may result from possible multicolinearity between the leadership attitude and workers attitude, especially where one assumes that leadership attitude will influence workers attitude. All the explanatory variables showed inelastic transformation effects indicating the need for better training and utilisation of both leaders and workers for efficiency.
The constant is significant with t-value of 6.896, indicating that there are other factors determining organisational effectiveness that we are yet to capture in this study. This is clear since the coefficient of determination in this study is 0.295. Leadership attitude and workers attitude also showed significant effects on organisational effectiveness.
