APRIL FOOL’S DAY
April 1st
No one really knows how or where April Fool’s Day began. English say it started in England, French say it started in France, and German say it started in Germany.
In America April first is a workday. It is a special day because it is the traditional day for playing trick on other people. The one who is played a joke on called “An April Fool.” One of the most common tricks for April Fool’s Day is to tell someone something that isn’t true.
At home husbands and wives play tricks on each other, and smile or laugh out loud with delight and yell, “April Fool” At school; children are very excited on “April Fool’s Day.” They all go to school hoping to fool their friends. The boy loves to play the tricks on girls.
A boy might point at a girl’s head and say “A spider in your hair.” The girls are frightened and she screams. Than the boy laughs and say “April Fool.”
