Those subsystems work together in term of data
exchange; some of them accumulate data to provide
statistical information while the others are passed around in
timely fashion to provide live feedback and respond
dynamically to traffic changes. While it is true that a
system with many subsystems can have a heavy dataflow
rate, especially when it is linked to other matched systems
on other intersections to work together, the design of the
system insures that no data conflict, redundant data or
unwanted information are passed around.
