GDI soot oxidation characteristics of a naturally aspirated,homogenous, and stoichiometric GDI engine were analyzed in
detail using TGA, SEM–EDS, HR-TEM, and Raman spectroscopy.The catalytic effects of ash that dominate the oxidation reactivity of GDI soot were clearly presented for the first time, and a mechanism and modified kinetic correlation of GDI soot oxidation were proposed.
