The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) will give pay-TV operator TrueVisions 15 days to change its channel line-up in accordance with the regulator's numbering rule.
If no action has been taken by the deadline on Jan 4, True will be fined 20,000 baht a day for violating the rule.
The country's largest pay-TV operator has so far ignored the channel numbering rule, which requires all TV platform operators to run the same line-up for the first 36 channels.
The NBTC has issued both written and verbal warnings to TrueVisions, but it has not responded.
The broadcasting committee yesterday held a meeting and resolved to warn the pay-TV operator for the last time and give it 15 days before the fine penalty.
