The Director of Information Technologies is responsible for planning designing and implementing organization wide information systems as well as technologies at MMH; including hospital, medical office building applications, systems development & implementation, data management & reporting, document imaging & work flow management, evaluation & recommendation of new and advance computer technology. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions, and all networking equipment associated with the hospital’s network connectivity, technical oversight of the management and coordination of end-user devices utilized in the hospital’s operations, as well as management of the HIS helpdesk. Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards & procedures for implementing technical solutions. Assigns and coordinates the work of Information Technologies staff, contractors and vendors. Provides overall technical leadership within a structure that is consistently expanding through organization wide system development and departmental utilization of microcomputers. Proven track record of success in meeting performance goals and initiatives, excellent communication skills across all levels, adept problem solving skills, and must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously aimed at achieving Midland Memorial’s mission and incorporating the values in day-to-day functions. Continually assess and improve Information Technology experiences and services, manages organizational resources with fiscal responsibility, and promotes operational efficiency & effectiveness. Other responsibilities include research, development and application of new information system technologies to support the goals of managing and operating the organization.
Candidate must possess strong technical capability, business acumen, strategic thinking, customer & client focus, leadership qualities, and have demonstrated successful leadership. Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience within information technology and (5) five years of progressive information systems management experience, preferably in a health care field. Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science required). Masters (in a relevant field) and PMP Certification preferred. Certification in or substantial knowledge of and experience with ITIL or equivalent IT management protocol desirable. #LI-
