3. Time integration schemes
A large number of time-stepping schemes are available for the
solution of dynamic problems [24]. Among these schemes, the
algorithms commonly used in finite element analysis (FEA) [25,26]
are also well suited for the time discretization in the real-valued
BEM [27–29]. In order to obtain the potential reliable time integration
scheme applicable for the present meshfree boundarydomain
integral equation method, the well-known step-by-step
time integration algorithms of Wilson-θ [30], Houbolt [31] as well
as Newmark [32] have been tested in the following homogeneous
examples
