MAI (Myanmar Airways International) has reportedly scheduled to launch charter flight services for those who will visit 27th SEA Games, which will be hosted in December in Myanmar.
Although MAI has been currently giving charter flight services just for the trip Yangon-Naypyitaw vice versa at home, it has extended its round-trip charter flight operation into Yangon-Naypyitaw, Mandalay-Naypyitaw and Yangon-Mandalay, aimed at smooth transportation during SEA Games, said an official of MAI.
“We’ll provide round-trip charter flight services for not only athletes but also those who will visit SEA Games,” said Daw Aye Mara Thar, sales manager of MAI.
Fare for round-trip charter flight will be, it is learnt, reduced as a special service during SEA Games although MAI’s charter flight costs US$ 6,500 per hour.
MAI is also known to be a main sponsor of 27th SEA Games.
MAI’s new Air Bus planes has been giving flight services during September and 9 Air Bus planes will extend its flight operation normal trip and round-trip charter of Yangon-Buddha Gaya and Yangon-Jidda for Hajj, say the sources of MAI.
