After manufacturing, the materials were conditioned to different
moisture contents (5%, 8%, 11%, 14%, and 17% w.b.). The sample
materials were then dried in an oven at 105 °C for at least 72 h until
completely dried, i.e., the weight was constant. A predetermined
amount of water was added to the grinds using a spray bottle, and the
grinds were thoroughly mixed and stored in zip-lock plastic bags at
5 °C for 48 h before use to avoid water evaporation. The final moisture
content was then verified. The moisture content values reported in
this article are on a wet mass basis unless otherwise mentioned.
