A Hitachi S-3500 N scanning electron microscope (Tokyo, Japan), operated in a high vacuum, was used to investigate the morphology of the different types of materials and dispersion of the fillers within the polymer matrices. Cross sections of each composite sample at the fracture surface were cut and washed with an ethanol solution 70 %, to eliminate surface contamination. The samples were sputter coated with a thin layer of platinum (0.2 KA ° ) by an Anatech Hummer 6.2 Sputtering system prior to analysis in order to improve their conductivity, allowed to dry and imaged.
