evacuation. The closest study concerning air transportation involved a review of incident
reports related to the lack of communication, but the SBAR tool was not specifically
addressed (MacDonald et al., 2008). Minimal studies found have actually measured
patient safety outcomes, and most of the evidence recommends additional research needs
to be conducted to look at this aspect.
