Hi Mike;
I hope you will take this the way it is intended. I know when I have been the boss, and shit happens you want to know about it so you can fix it. If you don't know about it, then you can't.
Here is the brief story:
I phoned last Wednesday to ask to make an appointment with your property specialist (Sirichot as it turns out). (Wednesday August 5th at 4:16 PM) I spoke to your receptionist who informed me that Sirichot (she did not use his name) was unavailable but he would return my call. I did explain that we were searching for legal advice and I was a prospective new client.
Thursday I did not receive a telephone call. I phoned at 3:40 PM and got no answer but left a voicemail asking to be telephoned back regarding setting up an appointment. No call back.
Friday morning I phoned a total of 7 times. The first 5 calls were made between 9 am and 9:27 am. 2 of the calls rang with no answer at all. 3 calls defaulted to the after hours message and I left a voice mail.
No call back
I phoned again at 10:31 two times. One rang with no answer, and I let it ring at least 10 times. The second phone call got the after hours message again.
So completely frustrated, and having travelled up from Krabi to seek out your firm because of the English speaking capability I simply walked in the front door at 1:45 to said that I had been trying to get through on the switchboard and the results. Met with a couple of blank stares and was told that I could wait an hour as the Senior partner, (presumably you) where out for lunch so someone could meet with me.
After 15 minutes alone, I emerged from the jail cell and told the two reception people that I would run and errand over to Terminal 21 and would be back at 2:30.
I returned at exactly that time, was ushered into the regular board room, or one of them, and proceeded to wait another 15 minutes for Sarichot to come in. So at 2:45 the meeting began.
After I unloaded on him, describing my frustration, we went through the details, as I have ever so briefly described in the other email, and he got it. At one point in the discussion he began to instruct me on how I should do something etc and I had to stop him to remind him who was potentially working for who.
At the end of the day it all ended well. Sarichot is a nice young guy and I am quite sure that he will do a good job. He indicated that you would look in on the file at a critical juncture.
Mike I have been with a lot of lawyers in my business career and usually have a good relationship with them. I take advice, and I respect the knowledge of experts in their field.
Our company is just starting, and capital is tight so we must watch how and what we spend.
I hope on Friday we can meet and discuss this particular matter and if we agree how we are going to engage for the future, payment etc.
I have forgotten about the frustration of last week, it obviously did not deter me from considering you as our legal advisers.
I send it to you so you know what happens in your office from time to time.
