nine people died and one is missing after a fishing boat caught fire off waters in Gunsan city of South Korea,the Yonhap News Agency reported on saturday citing the relevant authorities.
According to the police,the fire started at about 5:20 am on the 20 tonne fishing boat, 24 kilometers away from Gunsan in western South Korea. Eleven fishing boat members were forced to jump into the sea.
Of the 20 people on board, 10 have been rescued. The police are still searching for he missing crew member.
The authorities have yet to identity the cause of the accident and whether the sailors are alive or dead.
