3.8. Evaluation of pasting properties by RVA
The pasting properties of the rice grains that were stored in silos
equipped or not equipped with exhausters are presented in Table 4.
The pasting temperature was higher in the third month of storage
compared to that during the initial storage period, remaining unchanged
at up to 9 months of storage. There was no difference in
the pasting temperatures of the grains that were stored in the silos
equipped or not equipped with exhausters. The peak viscosity decreased with the increase in the storage period, as did the final
viscosity.
