4. Conclusions
Regarding the total lipids and percentages of DHA and EPA, we can postulate that sardines canned
in tomato sauce are a good source of DHA and EPA. Not withstanding a lower nutritional value, (in
relation to long-chain polyunsaturated n ) 3 fatty acids) of sardines canned in soybean oil, they too
can be considered a good source of EPA and DHA.
