It is now common practice for the players, coaches and officials to be introduced to the
spectators.
When such a pre-game presentation is to take place, it is suggested that it begins six
(6) minutes before the start of the game. The referee shall blow his whistle and ensure
that all players stop their warm-up and return immediately to their respective team
bench areas.
As soon as all the players, coaches and officials have been introduced to the
spectators, the referee blows his whistle and signals that three (3) minutes remain prior
to the start of the game. The players can now begin the final phase of the pre-game
warm-up (Diagram 13).
Two (2) minutes before the start of the game the officials shall move to a position near
to the scorers table.
With one minute and thirty (1:30) seconds remaining before the game, the referee
blows his whistle and ensures that all players stop their warm-up and return
immediately to their team bench areas
