methods (high-pressure treatment) of colostrum
hygienization reduce the colostral IgG concentration by
20 to 30% (Argüello et al., 2003; Trujillo et al., 2007);
thus, lyophilized or atomized colostrum is preferred
because it maintains the concentrations of IgG (Castro
et al., 2005).
