Fire is an accidental situation that involves exceptional design conditions of the structure and the acting loads.
In case of fire, unprotected CFRP is expected to be lost due to the high temperatures. Hence, the unstrengthened member is subjected to reduced design loads, as defined by the local regulations and guidelines.
The software includes a simplified check of the resistanceof the unstrengthened member in case of fire, according to Eurocode 2: Design of concrete structures - Part 1-2: General rules - Structural fire design.
The combination of actions used by the software for the verification of an un-strengthened member strength is based on the simplified method indicated in Eurocode 2: - Part 1-2, 2.4.2 using a reduction factor (ηfi = 0.7) that is applied to the design moment at ultimate limit state.
