This paper focuses on increasing engineering properties of laterite soil using portland cement type 1 and ChemRoad. Laterite soil specimens improved with 5% cement with 0% ChemRoad and 5% cement with 5% ChemRoad, respectively were conducted by unconfined compression test to determine compression strength and modulus of elasticity. From test results, compression strength of laterite soil specimens improved with 5% cement with 0% ChemRoad and 5% cement with 5% ChemRoad is more than unimproved laterite soil specimens for 1,200% and 1,300 %, respectively. Similarly, modulus of elasticity of laterite soil specimens improved with 5% cement with 0% ChemRoad and 5% cement with 5% ChemRoad is more than unimproved laterite soil specimens for 3,000% and 4,900%, respectively. Thus, improvement with portland cement type 1 with ChemRoad gives the highest values.
