The concentration of all determined metals is higher in a
sample of black than green tea. The reason for the
increased concentration of metals in the black compared to
green tea should be sought primarily in the method of
preparation of tea. When preparing black tea, we use more
aggressive methods which may lead to contamination of
tea during the processing. Also, during the process of
preparing black tea, a part of the organic matter is lost.
Thus, we can say that it is followed by concentration of
other components of tea and hence the metal.
