As a food enthusiast who has lived in five different countries (United States, Spain, Australia, Singapore and Cambodia), I have realized that despite the increasing number of bakeries and cafes opening, a good pastry dessert is very hard to come by. Some of the best desserts I’ve ever had in my life are in Paris, where bakers are considered artists. Being somewhat of a food snob, my biggest concern for moving back home after graduating from Suffolk University in Boston is; where will I go to satisfy my sweet tooth? The cafe scene in Cambodia is on the rise, but delicate artisanal pastries that I crave are still hard to come by. I hope to fill in this gap with the start of BCBG Cambodia, where our goal is to bring the artisanal French food culture to Cambodia, so people will be able to get a sweet taste of France without having to travel all the way there. We’re proud to be the first company in Cambodia to be able to bring ready made, gourmet desserts directly from our patissiers in France who ahve over 40 years of experience in the fine art of baking and supplying to high-end hotels and cafes all over France. We’ll be able to enjoy these pastries the way it was meant to be eaten; in a chic cafe in Paris!
