Industrial production in Thailand increased 1.83 percent in March of 2016 over the same month in the previous year, following an upwardly revised 1.7 percent decline in February and beating market expectations of a 0.1 percent drop. It is the first increase since January, supported by stronger output of car and car parts, air conditioners and jewelry. On a monthly basis, industrial production rose 10.65 percent, up sharply from a 1.39 percent growth in February.
