For hundreds of thousands of years, people have used plants as sources of medicine. Different parts are used, such as the roots, the leaves, the flowers and the bark. They are used to treat a variety of diseases, from external issues, like skin problems, to internal ones, such as stomach illnesses. These types of treatments, however, are mostly used in eastern countries, while there are many health problems in the west that could be solved without doctors and conventional medicine. Doctors around the world are just beginning to realize the benefits of using plants and other alternative cures to take care of patients. There are a considerable number number of common health problems that could be solved in eastern, or non-conventional, ways, and a few of these and their causes will be discussed below.
