2.8.2. Colour characteristics
The colour of the samples was measured using a Minolta Chroma
Meter CR-300 (Konica Minolta, Japan). The results were expressed as
Hunter colour values of L*, a* and b*. The L* represents lightness
(L*=0 yields black and L*=100 indicates diffuse white). The Chroma
(C*) represents colour intensity, which is the distance of a colour from
the origin (a*=b*=0) in the a* andb* plane.Hue angle (h°) expressedin degrees ranges from 0° to 360°, where 0° (red) is located on the+a*
axis, then rotating anticlockwise to 90° (yellow) for the +b* axis, 180°
(green) for −a* and 270° (blue) for −b*.
