EDUCATIONAL RIDE OF YOUR LIFE
The world’s first interactive theme park and futuristic exhibition from Japan, “teamLabs Islands: Dance! Art Museum, Learn & Play! Interactive Theme Park”, will be coming to offer Thai children and families an innovative experience for the first time, at The Space, 3rd floor of CentralWorld, from May 1 to July 31.
This is a learning exhibition in the form of an interactive theme park that combines the latest in art, science and technology to create spectacular digital installations that inspire everyone to bring their imagination to life and appreciate the beauty of art.
The giant-laboratory lookalike is divided into two major zones. The “Dance! Art Museum” will see artworks and projections come to life in five digital installations, playing with visitors’ perceptions and their sense of sight, touch and sound.
They will be amazed by “Flowers And People”, an installation where one year’s worth of seasonal flowers changes continually over the course of one hour. This is also a chance to experience the movement of waves of water that is simulated in a computer-generated three-dimensional space in “Black Waves”.
The “Learn & Play Interactive Theme Park” is a massive art project with eight dazzling installations that boost imagination. The “Sketch Aquarium” will see a giant virtual aquarium on which drawings of sea creatures get magically projected. They can be fed and moved around by their creators.
Other highlights include “Light Ball Orchestra” where huge balls communicate with one another, changing colour and making music depending on how they are touched; and “Sketch Town Papercraft” where pictures drawn can be turned into a unique 3D paper craft, which children can take home.
