When the floral bud was at maximum length, the filament alsoreached its longest, resulting in a peak length ratio of pistil to sta-men. The anther wall had already collapsed in partially-openingflowers (Fig. 1F). In fully-opening flowers, anther walls cracked,and pollen grains were released and adhered to the style but not tothe stigma (Fig. 1G). At late stages until wilting, the stamens wereabout 5 mm shorter than the pistil (Fig. 1).
