Subjects
Thirty Japanese female subjects aged 31–49 years (mean, 39.4) participated in a double-blind, placebo-controlled, split face study with left–right randomization that was carried out between October and December 2007. Twenty-nine subjects completed the study, with the one dropout subject because of minimal irritation due to the tested substance. Subjects who had fine wrinkles in the eye area were investigated. Informed consent was obtained. There were no conflicts of interest.
