The purpose of this research was, therefore, to investigate
the effect of different process parameters on the flow behavior
of plasticine and to insure its validity as a modeling medium.
These were accomplished by designing a series of compression
tests by utilizing 2k factorial design method, and evaluating the
output data by using analysis of variance method (ANOVA) to
identify the effects of deformation speed, lubrication and material
types (color) and more importantly their interaction effects
on the mechanical behavior of the plasticine.
