Dear all Indian Management & Staff working at Saraff Group
The Government of India through the Indian embassies abroad provides services to their citizens when they are abroad for several reasons. These services include basic information dissemination such as travel advisories and to protect victims of crime, accident/s, illness, death, natural/man-made disasters, civil unrest, or whose family and/or next-of-kin needed to contact them in an emergency. The Government might help people to find legal assistance and ensuring basic human rights are accorded when an Indian Citizen is subject to criminal proceedings abroad.
In order to avail of consular services, Indian embassies around the world urge their citizens to register with them. This registration process makes the Indian Citizen’s presence and whereabouts known to the Indian mission abroad. In the event that a consular officer needs to contact the citizen, they have updated information in hand. Registration becomes very important in a situation of political unrest, natural disasters, or in an emergency situation.
It is important that Indian citizen who are abroad either on a temporary or permanent basis, familiarize themselves with the services provided by the Indian embassy. By knowing what services are provided, you can easily avail and make full use of the benefits and protections provided by the Indian Government abroad.
For your information, Embassy of India recently provided online registration facility to all Indian nationals living in Thailand. Please follow the link below to register online
