Just a comment/clarification on the ‘waste area’ section of the ARO Survey… This section only applies if the Thai regulations require that the waste storage area is closed, and if remediation is necessary. When we say ‘close’ a waste area, we mean conducting the following:
- Cleaning the storage area surfaces (walls, floor, secondary containment, etc.);
- Conducting sampling and analysis of wall wipe samples and soil samples to determine if contamination occurred;
- Conducting cleanup and remediation of any contamination exist.
If the Thai regulations only requires for the facility to dispose of the waste accumulated and nothing else, then you don’t need to worry about that section in the ARO survey.
