One model of the proposed CSWH system was designed and
built to investigate the performanc e ofit. Fig. 1a shows the sche-
matic cross-sectio n ofthe components ofthe experime ntal model.
In Fig. 1b the locations ofthe thermocoupl es into the water storage
tank have been shown. The water storage tank was constructed
from galvanized sheet of0.0015 minthickness and the volume
of 1.45 0.56 0.17 m3 .It was located inthe thermally insulated
box from 40 mmtick rockwool . Two transparent glass covers were
