Under the optimal conditions, the characteristic analytical performance
data of the present system for the determination of trace
copper were obtained and summarized in Table 1. With a sample
volume of 0.5 mL, a detection limit of 10 g L−1 and a linear range of
20–400 g L−1 were obtained for copper. In the meanwhile, higher
sensitivity of the present system was achieved by a larger sample
volume (e.g. 2.5 mL) to meet the need of lower concentration analysis.
Compared to the reported LOV systems for the determination
of copper in liquid phase [5,6], the sensitivity of the present system
is increased considerably due to the preconcentration effect of
beads.
