Division algorithms are introduced to achieve division without using multiplication tables. The algorithm of “write-multiply-subtract-bring-down” is taught (Figure 4). They involve writing a quotient without dividing by ten’s and one’s unit such as 34 after explaining the meaning of the algorithm.
