Please find the key notes and observation and actions requires for the market visit for the bakery on Jan 7th.
1. DSR Bakery is doing well but need more support on the basic fundamental of selling skill/ selling tools, and bakery knowledge. Now they are finished the mapping , they have profile the bakery operators total around 200 operators. 120 operators are in BKK side, 80 are in Thonburi side. 70% of those are cake base… chiffon, cake, butter cake. 30% are those who are making bun with the topping of mayonnaise. Therefore, the big opportunities are more in the cake base., which leads to margarine butter flavor. And most of our operators are not aware on our product yetà very big potential on the margarine butter flavor à Chef Need to do the product bench marking with the OP brand and Zest gold. Let’s test in channel board meeting in Feb. Also Chocolate topping for us and Jupiter Please Patt inform chef team on the date of channel board meeting.
2. DSR Bakery need the system to track on the customers data base. à Saipan please discuss on the sales tools with A Supak. Best to get the mobile application , so we can pin the location with some key data of operators. DSR got Sumsung smartphone. These app, can be used for the LET DSR as well.
3. Opportunity to get the Bakery list from Type C operators and visit by DSR à P Noi TBS please get the name list with the telephone number to Santi.
4. DSR need more training on the product knowledge and bakery training, they need a guide on the questioning/probing on the key SKUs. (Margarine Butter flavor, Sweet, SE, Baking Powder, Filling, Lime Powder, Chocolate topping—these 7 skus) they need to fix on the selling dialogue, what will be the key message that they need to talk for each SKU. And then do Role play with them. à A Please arrange again on the selling skill base on these 7 skus for DSR, also chef to provide the training again.
5. DSR need selling stories for the key SKU. Please get it print out put into the folder à A and Pae, please arrange. Currently they do not have the selling stories and the message of the product is not delivered well to operators.
6. DSR need the Wet Sampling type.. à Chef please work on the winning application that can be prepare in the kitchen and then DSR and bring to the filed. à Chef Pop/ Cherry and Pae Please get the key app for each key SKU.
7. Real Sample. Currently sales buy product from Foodland/Makro real size by themselves. à Pum+ to arrange the brief to sales team again in Feb sales meeting
8. Demo booth for the key WS is the great opportunity that DSR Bakery need to do for big WS à K KOM/ Santi. Set the timing / slot for demo booth. Pae to support for the mechanic.
9. Opportunity for the bakery in Hotel. As the pastry in hotel is the big volume for breakfast and buffet. à Chacha and Yunt to review on the volume opportunity?
10. Portfolio à I think current portfolio for the bakery, especially cake is still quite limited. Please Pae work with Bakery chef again, to review the opportunity, even import from other countries, INDO, check with China team , as I know that they will develop this channel as well. And north ASIA. Even rejuvenate from current SKU, benchmarking with the key competitors.. à Pae please lead on this, and we need to input into the POF workshop.
