Chess and Hord clearly don’t understand (and this is not the first scene that shows it) why Crowley can’t just live quietly, stay away from trouble and be content with just drinking blood like all normal vampires are, why he has to seek dangers and thrill all the time. Goes to show that they’re normal vamps, while he’s not. They still follow him though, and I have to wonder if it’s because they don’t have a better choice, or because there is some measure of genuine attachment on Chess and Horn’s parts (more likely to be on Horn’s part than on Chess’, admittedly, because she’s the serious one while Chess is an insufferable airhead by nature). If there is attachment, it would be interesting to see it tested at some point.
But most of all I loved these reactions:
image
Ferid (speeches to the Council): Risking our very lives, I and the 13th progenitor Crowley Eusford successfully restrained Krul Tepes~~…
Crowley: Oops, he casually dragged me into this mess just now.
Chess: Agh…
Horn: …
But the question of the month to come (well, maybe of the next few months to come) is: is Guren still possessed??? Or not??? More likely yes than no, it seems, but it’s kinda hard to tell…
