by cold maceration method and this fraction was evaporated in a rotary evaporator under reduced pressure,
freeze-dried and used for the study. Total tannins [14] were spectrophotometrically estimated in the acetone fraction which was found to contain the
bulk of tannins (total tannins content 320.14 ± 12.47 mg QE/g dry weight).
