The major objective of this study is to discuss the effect of solution
pH and dosing sequence on the performance of dual-coagulant
of PAC and bioflocculants in low temperature surface water treatment.
The dosing sequence which added PAC first of dual-coagulant
is noted as PAC–CBF. The reverse dosing sequence was noted
as CBF–PAC. Residual turbidity, UV254 and DOC removal efficiency
were used as characterization of coagulation performance. Flocs
properties were characterized in terms of size, growth rate, breakage
resistance, regrowth potential, and fractal dimension. Meanwhile,
mechanism was also discussed in this study.
