The energetic contributions of the solar collector and
LPGburner in all 3modes of operation are shown in Table 2.
The energy supplied to the system in SHS was greater than
that administered in LPG mode or hybrid mode; however,
given the low efficiency of the solar collector, only 16% of
that energy was utilized. One of the principle objectives of this work was to evaluate the amount of energy saved in
terms of LPG combustion; the results demonstrate a 20%
reduction in LPG consumption for hybrid operation
(19.74 kW/h), by comparison with LPG operation
(24.59 kW/h), a quality which makes this option economically
attractive.
