Many liquid stabilizers contain both epoxides and phosphite esters; the improvement with such blends is often more than additive. The interaction can pose hazard as well as benefits; for example, if epoxidized oils are used at near the levels at which they will migrate or exude, this tendency may be increased by the addition of phosphite esters. The balance of these ingredients is also fected by other additives. Organic acids are used as boosters in liquid as well as in powdered stabilizers, oleic and tall oil acids being common. These also help to control solvent balance of the overall blend. Such ingredients, being highly mobile, affect the behavior of other mobile species.
