The distinct difference of micropore
size distributions was detected easily as shown in Figure
4, which indicates that the activated condition could affect
the micropore size distributions of the activated carbons. All
the activated carbons had numerous micropore structures,
which almost concentrated in the region of 0.5−0.7 nm and
0.8−0.9 nm. Those micropores give the high adsorption property
of CO2. However, the numerous micropores were not
consistent with the adsorption property of CH4. We suspected
that the shape of the micropore also affected the adsorption
property of activated carbon prepared in the paper, which possessed
different micropore shapes caused by different activated
conditions.
