In 2005, Gowen and Tallon [7] applied the resourcebased
view (RBV) and dynamic capabilities theory in
adoption of Six-SigmaTM implementation. The objective
of their study is to examine organizational competencies
for sustainable competitive use of resources. The result
showed that resources, which lead to achieve expected
outcomes in implementing Six-SigmaTM are: human
resource, organizational resource, physical or technology
resources, and financial resource. These resources also
correlated to the sustainable competitive advantage
dimensions (including value added, rareness, imitation
costs, and non-substitutability).
