Liverpool are chasing young Salzburg midfielder Valon Berisha, according to talkSPORT.
The Austrian side have an array of young talent in their ranks and several of their players have been linked with departures away from the club in the summer transfer window. One of them is young midfielder Valon Berisha, who has attracted plenty of attention from European clubs this winter.
He shot to fame when he ran the show in a winter friendly win against Bayern Munich and he has gone on to impress in following games. Berisha is a creative midfielder and operates in the middle of the pitch. He is also a good finisher and has three strikes along with nine assists across the the domestic league and Europa League.
Berisha has also represented Norway 21 times and is highly rated in that part of the world. Salzburg are likely to command a fee in the region of £10 million for Berisha's services and Brendan Rodgers's faith in youth could persuade the youngster to make the move to Merseyside.
Rodgers is desperate to make the Champions League in order to persuade players like Berisha that the Reds are back on the up, both domestically and in Europe.
